New Programs:
PNPR - Proposed New Program Request

This is required to create an entirely new program, either occupational or transfer, in your area. If it is a new occupational program, you will also need the LOWDL form, below.
AND
You will also need one of the two State applications, below, depending on program type (transfer or occupational)
Application for Approval – New Occupational Program

PNOR – Proposed New Option Request
(D)
Use this form if you are going to create a new degree or certificate within an existing program or discipline. If it is an occupational program, you also need the LOWDL form.
Skills Certificate (Less Than 18 Units of Coursework)
(D)
Use this form if you are creating a certificate of 17 or fewer units. Although these certificates do not require State approval, they must be recorded by the District in order to show on student transcripts.

(O) Required for all occupational options, certificates and programs
LOWDL Instructions
All occupational programs need to be reviewed at the regional level before the State will accept them. The Los Angeles and Orange County Workforce Development Leader (LOWDL) regional consortium is the mechanism whereby this review takes place. After filling out the form, please contact Cynthia Morley-Mower, Dean, Academic Affairs, to have your item placed on the LOWDL agenda.
Non-Substantial Changes to Approved Program
(S)
This is similar to the Course Change Request but is for changes at the program level. Use this form to change program attributes such as:
Request to Add New Option or Certificate Within Existing Program to Inventory
(S)
This form is used to add a new certificate or option under an existing, previously-approved program.
